The title pretty much said everything you need to know about me, but you know how us women love to chatter, so I will tell a few more things about me and our ‘not-at-all desperate housewives’ club, as we like to call it. There is a very funny story behind the name of our club and I’ll give you the short version of it. Here it goes!
One day, me and my friends were drinking coffee in a very nice cafeteria close to our office – yes, we also work together, and we were watching other women who were passing by and trying to figure out what their story is. You see, the truth is that we don’t agree with people – mostly men, that think that a woman’s place is in the kitchen cooking, with one new-born in her arms and two toddlers clinging on to her left leg. We believe that every person should live their life as they see fit. And so, we started talking about how a housewife has very little time for herself and usually not many things to spice up her life, aside from an evening cap with her husband. But looking at our lives, that is not our case, not at all! Because we go on trips, while our husbands and boyfriends are watching the kids, we go to clubs and by God, we gamble! So we decided that we are the not-at-all desperate housewives and that was that!
You see, we do love to gamble. Within reason, of course and never more than we can afford and that, I have to confess, sometimes feels liberating and empowering even, if you will. I say that because we started playing in real land-based casinos and bingo halls and back then it wasn’t as popular as it is now. So seeing 3 women playing until the early dawn was a bit unusual. Now, almost everyone gambles, whether they admit it or not! Only now, we don’t have as much time as before, so we took our gambling habits online and we are more than happy to share our experience with you. So, ladies and gentlemen – just in case any men are reading this, this is our casino magazine for women! Stay tuned, because we have some treats for all you gambling souls out there!
